Since we worked with Taco Flats on their original location in 2014, they’ve been busy building a tiny taco empire. So when they got the chance to expand into the old Zocalo Cafe space in Clarksville, they jumped at it.

Clarksville is a little bit fancy, so for this location, we wanted to stay true to the concept but take it up a notch. Like their food (and the original), we made sure that each and every furnishing was made from scratch. But for this location, we also seized the opportunity to layer in custom-designed tiles and lighting made in Mexico and called on our favorites, Era Ceramics, to make custom bar pendants. The hand-painted serape pattern on the wall helps build what we call the “elevated Tex-Mex honky tonk” vibe. 

Highly recommended? The queso + tacos al pastor with a spicy frozen. Our faves.
